“Hooray, it’s 2015!”
Hello gang! Happy New Year! Firstly, how are you? Secondly, I thought it would be nice to start this post by mentioning, “Baron Von Superhero.” The book seems to have been well received. I’ve got some great feedback, it’s sold fairly well and it’s my first book to ever make its way over to folks in America!

As for my plans for this year, I have several! As far as the online world is concerned, I want to take some time to work on longer narratives such as “Mimehouse.” I plan to release a few more stories like this throughout the year. Indeed, this means I’m unlikely to start posting weekly again any time soon, but it will give me time to develop more characters/stories and to practise writing, which is a key personal goal for 2015.
Speaking of writing, in the real world, I’m working on another book. I’ll do another separate update about this very soon. However, in the meantime, this is a top secret project so don’t tell anyone.
Of course, I’m still doing lots of work for “Lard Wants World Peace!” We recently launched a brand new batch of “world peace tips” which I’m quite excited about. Check them out on our blog!
One final note, I recently made a print version of “Architect” available for sale. Sadly, it is expensive. I was hoping to find a cheaper solution to printing, but until I have the money and demand necessary to print in bulk, this will have to do. At least it’s now out there for people who really, really, really, want to buy a copy. Also, the print quality is very excellent and it looks awesome.

‘Je Suis Charlie’
I wouldn’t normally get involved in politics on this blog, as I’d like to keep this space free for silly illustrations and other fun/stupid things. Also, there are many other platforms for politics. This rule applies to this post too, however what happened in Paris on Wednesday was not purely a political matter. Firstly, I’d like to offer my condolences to the families of the victims of the attack on Charlie Hebdo, and all those affected by this senseless attack.
However, the main purpose of this post is to offer my thoughts on Freedom of Expression. I feel that Creativity and humour is tremendously important to our survival, and if we ever lose these things, we have lost everything. Stories and ideas have the power to turn dreams into reality. They fill the world with hope and wonderment. If we wish to continue growing as a species, we need creativity. Though all of these things work in different ways depending on the infinite array of subcategories, satire is particularly necessary for the exploration of ideas. Ideas that are exempt from criticism are usually the most dangerous form of idea. These are the ideas that can be twisted around to “justify” terrible acts of hatred and violence. Of course, Satire can be crude or vulgar, but there is always an element of honesty, and it is that element of honesty that we desperately need right now.
With honesty, kindness and tolerance we can overcome the forces of hatred which seeks to divide and destroy us. Above all, we need humour. I’m certain that one day we’ll live in a world where the sound of crying is finally silenced by the sound of laughter.
Humanity has the potential to do great and amazing things. It is time to unlock that potential. My wish for everyone this year is for peace, and I wish for that with all my heart.

‘Baron Von Superhero’
Hello, I’ve got some good news! I’ve finished my book about the little pig. It’s been really exciting to work on and it’s the primary reason for my lack of other updates or comics! (Sorry.) Most importantly however, this book will be available for sale really soon. Unlike Architect which was very extravagant and colourful, this book is pretty cheap and cheerful (in a good way.) I’ve just ordered a proof copy and if it all checks out I will unleash it onto the public! In the meantime, please enjoy the cover image above.
